About Us

Our Story
We opened on 11/11/11 to a standing room only local crowd. The idea was born from two locals who decided to make a change from a lack of good local beer.  We aim to educate the unguided and be a place for beer geeks and connoisseurs alike.

Paul Holle – Head Brewer
Paul was an avid homebrewer for over 6 years before becoming pro.  A beer guy who doesn’t discriminate against any style, his favorite is usually what is seasonal or a barleywine.

Kevin Jones – Business Manager
Kevin is all about the culture behind craft beer and brings an engineering mindset to Sawtooth.  He prefers stouts, darker beers and sours but loves trying anything new.

JR Richardson – BEERtender
JR has arguably the most beer knowledge out of the whole crew, having the chance to travel with and film Michael Jackson, the famous beer critic.  When not working on his pet project, Beer Hunter: The Movie, he can be found discussing the finer points of an IPA behind the bar.

Jake DV - BEERtender
Jake is a travel, culinary, beer nut.  He has held many interesting jobs and seen the world abroad and at home.  He loves a good Belgian abbey and is always quick to serve a cold one with a side of magic… literally.

Hallie Wilson - BEERtender
Hallie loves the outdoors and a cold one.  She fears no beer, whether it be a Wheat Wine, Belgian Strong Ale with peaches or a Flanders Sour Brown. Ask her what run to ski or hike to take next time she serves you up a frosty pint.

Natalie Heurkins - BEERtender
Natalie has a strong hospitality background so you know she will treat you right.  A lover of the outdoors, snowboarding and adventures; she knows her beers and is always ready to serve with a smile.
